ECONOMIC
Responsible for sustainable management of non-timber products, ESG principles, funding for scientific research, carbon credit and digital assets.

EBCF is a Brazilian Rainforest Conservation Company which owns and operates the first Private Reserve for Sustainable Development ever created in Amazon history.
With a thoroughly monitored and protected native rainforest area of 50.000 (fifty thousand) acres, the reserve Amazon Rio is located in the State of Amazonas, Brazil, close to the city of Manicoré, on Madeira river banks.
The Reserve has a certified REDD+ CO2 emissions reduction project already implemented, validated, and verified by global standards for forest conservation to offset approximately 2.5 million tons of CO2.
Amazon Rio's REDD+ project is permanently undergoing monitoring and verification processes to issue its carbon credits by the leading International Standards VERRA.
EBCF’s economic challenge is to develop new value chains of ecosystem services and business-related activities to finance its social-environmental mission based on seven revenue streams: Sustainable Harvesting of Timber-Free, Amazonian Products (fruits, seeds, extracts, oils, essences, fragrances, powders, etc.), Carbon Credits, Corporate Social Responsibility, Individual Social Responsibility, Ecotourism, Scientific Research and Technology Development.
The social program developed and implemented by EBCF directly benefits 400 families across 15 villages in the areas of education, health, infrastructure, and income generation. It transforms the natural resources of the rainforest into income and conservation according to the principles of social and environmental responsibility.
